Epic Games have announced march through time in Fortnite to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King.
Epic Games are working with TIME Studios to create a new interactive experience to celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King. The interactive experience immerses players in the entirety of Dr. King’s monumental “I Have a Dream” speech as well as the history surrounding the speech.
Fortnite D.C. 63
Players can experience a re imagined Washing, DC at the Lincoln Memorial where Dr. King gave his iconic speech. The experience will include mini-game quests that you can complete with other players. These mini-games will progress players through the experience of the speech.
Upon completing the challenges related to the Celebrate MLK Fortnite experience, players will be rewarded with the D.C. 63 Spray. Here’s what the spray looks like:
You can load up Fortnite now and experience the March through Time Fortnite experience. In order to do so, open up the Fortnite playlist and you’ll find the creation in the bottom right hand corner as seen below:
All toys and “toxic” emotes have been disabled in this experience for obvious reasons. You’ll need to wait for players before you load in. In the waiting room, you’ll find a map at the front on the right side of the room that lists all the activities that are available in this experience.
You’ll then need to run through the March Through Time Fortnite portal and you’ll see instructions to your left. Players have 20 minutes to explore the map. Players need to work together to complete all of the puzzles to be rewarded with the free spray.
When we jumped into the experience, it was quite laggy, likey due to the amount of players wanting to join. There’s no information regarding how long the event will be available for.
