After a short trial period, and an even shorter voting period, the fan-favorite MK-Seven Assault Rifle is back in Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has brought back Funding Stations. Several times throughout the season, players can donate to decide which items and weapons make it back into the game.

However, this season there is a slight twist. Players get to use both weapons during a short trial period before the voting begins. During voting, both weapons are removed once more and the winner returns.

The first round of voting was between the Combat Assault Rifle and the fan-favorite MK-Seven. It didn’t take long for players to decide the victor.

MK-Seven returns in Fortnite Season 2

Voting started on April 5th following a two-day trial period. Players were able to use both the Combat AR and MK-Seven from April 2 – 4.

When voting began, the MK-Seven took an early lead, and it only took until around 8:30 PM EST on April 7 for the race to end. The MK-Seven had won by a landslide.

The moment the goal was met, the MK-Seven was unvaulted and players could find it in-game just as they could in Season 1. The only difference is that the Mythic version is not in Fortnite (yet?).

It is possible that The Foundation could once again carry his Mythic MK-Seven, but that isn’t the case quite yet. We will keep you updated if and when that happens.

Now, we wait for the next Unvautling Battle to begin. Hopefully it will be a more interesting race than the shut out we just witnessed.
