Who else thinks Fortnite is cool ?
Fortnite v16.10 will be releasing on 30th March, 2021. Here’s what we can expect from the new Fortnite update.
Fortnite chapter 2 season 6 launched almost two weeks ago and we’re expecting to see the first Fortnite update of the season, v16.10, tomorrow unless there are any delays.
We already know that there will be a number of bug fixes coming in the update along with a spring Fortnite event called Spring Break. Here’s everything we can expect or know of regarding the v16.10 Fortnite update.
Fortnite Server Downtime Time
As usual, the new Fortnite update today was announced on the Fortnite Status Twitter account. The server downtime for 16.10 will begin at 4 AM ET (8 AM UTC). Here’s the tweet from the Fortnite Status Twitter account below:
New Fortnite Update Today Patch Notes
There will be a number of bug fixes in the upcoming update. Epic have been updating their Trello board with new bugs they’ve found and the status as to whether they’ve found a fix for the bug. Some of the major bug fixes that have been fixed in the update are:
- The anomaly at Shark Island may not appear for some players.
- Extremely decreased visibility when in the storm.
- Opening inventory will cancel actions including reviving, searching, or any other kind of interaction.
- Missing legacies from season 5 chapter 2.
- Ready up issue on players using split screen.
Raptors (Dinosaurs)
Epic Games teased the release of Raptors with eggs being planted around the Fortnite map. They were then mentioned at the end of a blog post for tips on chapter 2 season 6 including the basic crafting ingredients to make certain weapons.
Data-miners leaked from the v16.00 Fortnite update that there were three stages for the Raptor eggs. They are currently on stage 3 and in a reply to the tweet from Fortnite Status announcing the new Fortnite update today, they stated a new apex predator stalks the island, all but confirming Velociraptors are coming to the Fortnite island.
Primal Shotgun Nerf & Other Changes
In a reply to the original tweet on the Fortnite Status account announcing the 16.10 update, Epic also stated that the Primal Shotgun will be nerfed by reducing the fire rate. The Makeshift Shotgun will also receive adjustments, but Epic didn’t state what exactly those adjustments will be.
The crafting materials costs now scale with Makeshift rarity and animal bones and mechanical parts can appear as floor loot.
Epic will also be experimenting with the storm as they’ll be bringing back moving storm circles to non-competitive game modes for the last two zones. Based on the feedback, Epic will likely remove or adjust this feature.
Spring Breakout
New spring Fortnite skins, a free pickaxe, a cup, and much more will come with the Spring Breakout Fortnite event that’ll go live on 30th March. We won’t go into too much detail regarding the event as we’ve already covered it over HERE.
