Fortnite players have been eagerly anticipating the release of the new Galaxy skin – called Galaxy Girl by the bulk of the community – ever since it was originally leaked. Her official name is Galaxy Scout, and she’ll be available to earn for free for those who play Fortnite on Android devices.
Earning the Galaxy Scout isn’t as easy as logging into Fortnite on an Android, however. At first, she’ll be exclusive to those who place highly in the upcoming Fortnite Galaxy Cup, set to take place on July 25 and 26.
The placement required to earn the skin varies depending on your location. You only need to place within the top 10,000 in the EU region to earn the skin, while those in OCE have to finish within the top 1,250.
- Europe: Top 10,000
- NA-East: Top 7,500
- NA-West: Top 2,500
- Latin America: Top 2,500
- Asia: Top 1,250
- Middle East: Top 1,250
- Oceania: Top 1,250
The good news is that anyone who participates in at least five games of the Galaxy Cup will earn the Galaxy Wrap for free. All eligible players must enable two-factor authentication on their account to earn these rewards and participate in the event. You can get that started by clicking here, if you haven’t already.
Don’t have an Android device but still want access to the skin? Don’t worry. The Galaxy Scout will be coming to the Item Shop after the tournament concludes. Those who place highly in the tournament will, simply, have a chance to earn the skin before everyone else. We saw something similar with the Australian Open Summer Smash last year, where players earned a free skin that was later available in the Item Shop. Good luck to all of the competitors.
