Epic Games have teased an upcoming Fortnite Item, Buried Treasure.

Epic Games have updated the news feed to tease a brand new item coming to Fortnite, Buried Treasure. The description of the new item reads, “Scour the island for hidden loot with the new Buried Treasure item!”

There’s not much information that has been data-mined by leakers, but one popular Fortnite leaker, FortTory, has leaked the sound files for the Buried Treasure item which can be heard below:

It also appears as though one of the locations for the buried treasure has been found.

We won’t know anything else about this item until it’s released. It’s likely the v8.00 content update will go live on Tuesday, 5th March. There has been no official word from Epic on the update, but last season, content updates more usually on Tuesday.
