Fortnite Winterfest 2019 is here. Take a look at everything you need to know including presents, challenges, unvaulted weapons, and more.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 has picked up the pace in recent weeks. First, we saw the Fortnite X Star Wars event bring us Lightsabers and Blasters. Today, we got a full-on holiday update to take us through the new year.
There was a lot included in this update, and we’re all excited to jump in and play. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Winterfest 2019.
Free Presents
Epic is offering us some free presents for the holiday season. We’ll have 14 chances to open presents for new skins, wraps, back bling, emotes, and more.
It appears as though there will be some RNG involved with these presents – similar to loot boxes in other games. These presents are free, though, and we’ve never seen loot boxes in Fortnite before.
We’ve already seen a lot of the leaked cosmetics that will be available in the Fortnite presents. It might not be all of them, but you can take a look at those here.
Challenges
You can also receive your daily challenges from the stocking in the Winterfest Lodge. These 14 challenges will unlock additional cosmetics and XP rewards – although many of us have already finished the Battle Pass.
You can always come back later if you miss a day of presents or challenges. They won’t disappear when the day ends. If you want a sneak peek of all of the challenges and rewards, we covered that in a separate article.
Lastly, we’ll be getting some daily unvaulted weapons and LTMs through January 2. Zone Wars is back along with fan-favorite LTMs like Wick’s Bounty and Arsenal.
