The depths of the sea are bringing the next sought-after skin to Fortnite. 

With Fishstick skin being recently released, Epic seems to have turned its attention to the ocean.

While the Fishstick, and its coral glider, would be closer to reefs, the next skin may be coming from the deep waters.

We just have the glider and the pickaxe right now, and only the glider has all the detail.

Now here’s the pickaxe, missing the finish which we assume is similar to the glider:

So what kind of skin are we looking at here?

Fan theories have ranged from a diver to an octopus to the mythical C’thulu.

The pickaxe is really quite menacing and feels like it would fit naturally in the hand of a sea monster adaptation.

In fact, the head on top of the pickaxe almost looks like C’thulu.

A logo for an octopus banner for level 84 on the battlepass seems like it could be another indication that’s the direction we are headed in.

It does like pretty sinister:
